Sports

Physical Education is an integral part of the CBSE curriculum which is related to the mental and physical development and well-being of each student. All efforts are made to keep the children physically fit and mentally sharp. Students are divided into 6 Houses (LKG to XII) and competitions are held on inter-house basis to promote competitive spirit and true sportsmanship. Sports provide perfect relaxation and a break from the routine of academics. A healthy mind in a healthy body is the anthem and all essential steps are taken to keep the students physically and mentally agile.

A well-designed wooden indoor shuttle court and 400 mts running track facilities are provided. Indoor games like Table tennis, Chess, Carrom etc., & Outdoor games like Hockey, Volleyball, Football, Basketball etc., are available to improve their concentration, endurance and perseverance and also to explore the innate talent in the students & enhance their skills. The Physical Education department is always geared up to meet the growing challenges ahead.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

SCOUT And GUIDE :

“We cannot prepare the future for our youth but we can certainly prepare our youth for the future"

As per the motto of the Scout & Guide “Be prepared", our students are always prepared to do their best to the community. On 9th &10th August, 19 students from our school (10 boys & 9 girls) attended the Rajya Puraskar Camp at Sneha Deepam School, Sathuvachari, Vellore. In the month of January the selected students were conferred Raja Puraskar Award by the Governor of Tamilnadu.

Our children took part in the one-Day Trithya Soban Camp @ Voorhees School, Vellore. These students are eligible for the next Rajya Puraskar Camp. Our students performed a spectacular march-past on Independence Day. Discipline, service mindedness, respect, punctuality and resilience are the various virtues inculcated in them.

NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)

NCC contributes to the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals and as responsible citizens. This year 7 cadets attended CATC camp conducted at Gudiyatham.

Like last year, CATC camp was conducted in our school campus by NCC commanding officer l 10(TN)BN, NCC , Vellore, along with other institution cadets, 15 cadets from our school took part in the camp.

The students played with colours, smeared the white canvasses with a spectrum of colours and gave vent to their imagination. The exhibition was held to provide a platform for children to display their talent and was inaugurated by Mrs.R.Banumathi, the Associate Professor in Economics, DKM College for Women, Vellore.

Learning is Fun

Vellore N.Krishnaswamy mudaliar - KG Win is specially designed for the tiny tots. The focus of the school is to create a barrier free environment for the children to move around and at the same time be in a learning environment.Our Kindergarten philosophy is found on the belief that education is about fun filled learning,enjoyable and relevant to today's competitive world,while unleashing the creative potential of the child.Learning is child-centered and growth centered.there is a strong bond between the teacher and the taught emulating our ancient Gurukul system.
