The Punjab Public School, Nabha, Punjab 147201
All the students take part in the school games which is compulsory. Riding is very popular amongst the students of PPS. About 300 students of the school are the members of the Riding Club. The boys and girls are given excellent coaching in Show Jumping, Dressage, Tent Pegging etc. by a qualified instructor. The school riders have brought laurels to the school at the National level. In 2003 for the first time the school riders participated in the Delhi Horse Show and won 19 medals.
In 2004, 2005 and 2006 the medal tally rose to 33, 51 and 45 (with 13 Gold Medals) respectively. In 2004, our three riders were selected for an international tent pegging competition. PPS has the distinction of winning IPSC Riding Championships many times. Some of the ex students of PPS are riders of international fame.

The school has more than 50 acres of lush green play fields where all the students can play simultaneously. Various IPSC tournaments are conducted here. The new Cricket turf came up in the year 2011 which increased the friendly fixtures played almost every week promoting healthy relationship among various visiting teams.

Invented in Harrrow School, the supporters for Squash are longing for its inclusion in the future Olympics. Rated in 2003 by Forbes as the number one healthiest sport, Squash has increasingly found its way in the schools of India. The school’s Maharaja Partap Singh Ji Squash court Complex built in the memory of Late HH Maharaja Partap Singh Ji of Nabha was inaugurated by H.E. Justice O P Verma (Hon’ble Governor, Punjab) on 10th Nov, 2003.

Football is one of the regularly played sport. The school has its own football team and actively participates in the Inter School, IPSC’s Football Tournaments. Apart from this friendly fixtures are also organised from time to time.

The junior school campus houses 10 * 25 meter swimming pool. The foundation stone of pool was laid by Lt Gen Kulwant Singh on February 25, 1964. Considered as one of the healthiest workout options, swimming is a compulsory activity for students at least once a week.

As an outlet to be creative and mode of entertainment, Art and Craft Club remains one of the favourite places among students in their leisure time. Apart from providing a much needed vent for their emotions, these activities enhance self-regulation, improves muscle dexterity and coordination to name a few. The re-conceptualized Art School is another spotlight at PPS which was formally inaugurated by General Bikram Singh PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC (Chief of the Army Staff) in 2012. In addition to painting and sketching the latest introduction of activities at Art School are Photography and Photo-Editing, Traditional Jewellery designing, T-shirt and Shoe designing, Tile –Mosaic. Open-Art Competition remains another much awaited event for the budding artists.

It is a testimony to human life that music and dance are one of the most immediate and easily approachable forms of performing arts. Students are trained by the experts in various genres. The experts also prepare youngsters in all forms including instrumental and vocal.Students are also encouraged to train their vocal chords on a regular basis. In addition, budding talent is also urged to put on the dancing shoes to enhance their emotional expression and creativity.
