Pre-Primary School (Nursery, LKG And UKG)

The elementary school adopts a non-formal approach to learning. Activities at this level are designed to develop fine motor skills and enhance sensory development with an integration of physical education. In a nurturing environment they would develop an awareness of themselves as responsible and capable learners for the first time. Pre-Primary children are given the opportunity to hone their skills in various fields such as Art and Craft, Music, Dance and Games. In the activity cum classroom at ABPS, the children engage themselves in fun filled activities. Various competitions like colouring and Fancy Dress are organised in the school to develop their innate potential. No formal test is conducted for the Pre-Primary students. The performance of the child in all spheres is monitored regularly which forms the basis of their promotion to the next class.

Primary School (Classes I to V)

This stage of school aims to build on the child’s growing spirit of innovation and exploration. Emphasis is placed on the acquisition of sound language skills, mathematical concepts and scientific fundamentals. Activity based learning enables students to gain awareness and in depth knowledge. The children are encouraged to develop good study habits and a love for learning. The aim is to maximize a child’s independent learning and exploration. Experiential learning forms the backbone of the teaching learning process. In classes I to V, an interesting mix of diagrams, graphical representations, charts and models create an engaging atmosphere. Education is also imparted through outdoor activities where students get first- hand knowledge of how to implement scientific concepts and supported by trading classroom transaction to offer a variety of learning opportunities to the students.

Middle School (Classes VI to VIII)

The Middle School comprises of classes VI to VIII. These classes are the stepping stones for higher education. The academic curriculum is combined with a plethora of co-curricular activities in order to instil a healthy respect for perseverance and sound formal study skills. At this stage third language, Sanskrit is introduced and History, Geography, Political Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are taught as separate subjects. It provides a nurturing and stimulating environment in the foundation years.It is a place where children imbibe a love for learning,expand their knowledge, thinking skills and learn to get along with each other. It is a place that values each and every child, allowing individual difference to manifest them. It puts as much emphasis on social, emotional and physical development ason academic achievement.We follow the curriculum of CBSE Delhi. Value education is given as much importance as the other subjects with an attempt to improve the quality of life of each child.

Secondary School (Classes IX And X)

Senior school plays a very important role in the life of a student as it is instrumental in shaping and directing a child to a bright future. We are strengthening the same by developing abilities of values such as spirit of enquiry, creativity and objectivity, and the courage to question and aesthetic sensibility. A successful integration of new techniques such as extra marks with the curriculum and introduction of various clubs will inevitably change the attitude and learning paradigm. Inclusion of FIT as one of the core subjects will enable the students to acquire themselves with the latest tools of ICT and will make them competent in this world of technology .We are trying to develop leadership instincts by making them an integral part of the Prefectorial body. HPE-The CBSE in consultation with MHRD and Ministry of Sports, Govt. of India has attempted to integrate and mainstream Health and Physical Education across the secondary and senior secondary levels. This is to ensure that the Physical Education component which will continue to be assessed internally, is taken up as a cross-curricular, interdisciplinary discipline across the four strands. So HPE has been adopted as a part of our mainstream curriculum.
