About Us

St. Xavier’s School Rajpur, is named after St. Francis Xavier, a Jesuit Saint of the 16th Century who travelled to India in 1541. It was founded in 2002 and is managed by the Fathers of Madhya Pradesh Province, Xavier Institute Surguja, a registered Society which also constitutes the Governing Body. The responsibility for the day to day running of the school is vested in the school administration. It is affiliated to the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education. The President of the Governing Body is Rev. Fr. Provincial of the Madhya Pradesh Jesuit Province. The School promotes co-education and it admits any child irrespective of cast, creed, social status or ethnic background.

The School was flagged off to a flying start by Fr. Amrit Lal Toppo, S.J. & Fr. Kuldeep Kujur, S.J. in 2002. At present Fr. Isaac Kujur, S.J., Manager, Fr. Sebastian Tigga, S.J., Principal, while Mr. Suresh Kumar Minj is the Vice-Principal of the School to maintain discipline in all academic areas.

The school follows a new and outstanding curriculum with expert faculty members to unravel the joys of learning. Innovative methods, based on the Integral Pedagogical Paradigm cater to both the intellectual and affective dimensions conducive to overall moral, religious and aesthetic aspects of growth - an integrated approach to harmonize all the elements required for the formation of fine human beings.
