Day Care

The program schedule can include preschool in the morning/mid-morning and activities like art& craft, music and movement, physical experiences in the afternoon/evening program. The full day care program has been designed to provide a facility for parents who like to see their child be comfortable and safe, while they are at their workplaces.

We strive to ensure that we give a safe, healthy and nurturing space for children to learn and grow.

Play Group

One of the challenges of planning activities for playgroup is the need to cater for a wide range of children at different ages and stages of development.

We at Spring Valley understand this and our curriculum encourages children not just to learn alphabets count and write, but to learn how to find out, how to communicate effectively with others, to reflect upon their own learning, and to work and play with others. We know the importance of ensuring that children develop a healthy and positive self– esteem, a positive attitude towards learning, being actively engaged in their learning, and knowing how to find out and solve problems.

At the age of 1½ to 2 years, the children are snug and secure at home and are comfortable with only their parents and close to kin. At Spring Valley, we see to it that the little children enjoy their new surroundings and learn to interact with other children. Importance is given to activities that build the child’s concentration as well as language development is initiated. In time, the little children are well adjusted and are all set to enjoy the next year in nursery.

Open-ended activities, which the children can interact with on their own terms, according to their interest and abilities, will cater for children of different ages. we always try to include activities such as play dough, water, sand, music, rhymes, paint, books & stories, and set them up so that children can interact with them in a variety of ways according to their interest and stage of development.

At Playgroup children spend a large part of their day singing rhymes, doing fun project work as well as learning concept by listening to stories. We have the Playgroup schedule that has adequate time for free play and directed activity. In our playgroup we always remember we are engaging with kids – a true kids playschool.

Nursery

The school strives hard to provide the best for your child. Actual learning starts from the nursery class. Some children may cling to their parents and show unwillingness to remain at school by themselves. At Spring Valley, we know that this reluctance may be temporary and will be minimal. In due course of time, the children will be well adjusted. Contradictorily, there are some children who love to come to school. A few kids enjoy the experience of school so much that they do not want to go back home! Mentally the students are prepared to enter Jr. K.G.

Nursery School program is designed to meet your child’s social, emotional, developmental and educational needs. Nursery children interact more and more with their peers, they practice their Language and Social skills through make-believe games for which they have ample time. They learn to play table games such as puzzles, board games and are introduced to the concept of taking turns and sharing. As in Playgroup Language Development, Maths, Letter and phonics, Music and Movement and Physical Experience make an integral part of the curriculum for Nursery.

We believe that children should learn through play and that play is essential and fundamental to a child’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Learning within our Nursery School program is made visible through observation and documentation. Teachers observe the children as they learn, take photographs, and document what children say.

Junior KG and Senior KG

Our juniors learn through the 3R’s, Rhythm, Reverence and Repetition which helps them for writing and maths. Phonics is an integral part of the curriculum which enhances the child’s spelling and speech.

In addition to age appropriate activities in senior KG which prepares a child for success in formal school, activities are conducted in language,number,music,general knowledge,in a planned manner. The childs development is assessed through well designed assessments done in regular intervals.
