The curriculum ensures that the children are exposed to the rich heritage of Indian history, folklore, literature, art and culture. The classical languages and yoga are therefore an integral part of the curriculum. Above all, it is the constant endeavor of the staff to sensitize the students for not only traditional Indian values but also the universal values that epitomize the human face of Indian Culture.
Each house is divided into two sections, the Junior Section consists of students from class I to V and senior section includes students from Class VI to XII. Each house is headed by a captain, a vice-captain and two Prefects. Besides this, the school also has a Head Boy and Head Girl and a Sports Captain. The school organize and executes various Inter-House competitions during the academic year. All the norms for participating are informed well in advance and the winning students contribute points to their houses. Trophies are given for – Best Turnout, Early Bird Pyramid, Basketball, Football and March Past. The house with maximum points is declared the House of the Year and is given the Cock House Trophy during the Annual Sports Meet.
Co-Curricular activities are a form of informal education, which cannot be ignored. Holistic development of students can’t be achieved just by imparting academics.These activities play a very significant role in inculcating different values amongst the students. The aim of curricular activities is to make the students fit for the future time and to develop a sense of competitive spirit, co-operation, leadership, diligence, punctuality, team-spirit as well as to provide a backdrop for the development of their creative talents.Outdoor activities are essential grounds for a successful practical life. In programmes of outdoor activities, the children are taken out of the school to the areas of adventure, appreciation of art and culture and the places of historical values. These activities are an integral part of our curriculum.
The mind, body and soul are in total synchronization and benefit the most while pursuing a hobby. An activity chosen as hobby in very dear to ones heart, doing which the hobbyist derives immense satisfaction. Hobby is a distinct way of getting away from the otherwise monotonous daily regimen. Pursuing an activity in which you have inherent interest helps unearth hidden talents.
We at PPS believe that dancing in all its forms must be included in the curriculum of all noble education. Dancing with the feed, with ideas, with words and with expressions sets our education at a pace apart.Our dance studio for Pre-Primary, Primary and Senior wings is fully equipped for Indian and Western dances. It is spacious enough to allow our staff and students to choreograph works for stage performances and competitions.
Music serves as an aesthetic and an audio experience. This experience is basically involves the mind in an appealing way with the help of sounds.No printed communications, discussion or arithmetical calculations! It is an expression statement by itself. Music is also regarded to be an important part of the curriculum, for the role that it plays in understanding different cultures.Music is a true demonstration of the traditions, community culture, aspirations and accomplishments of humankind. The various custom values and beliefs of the common man are embedded in music.
