Pranavananda Vidyamandir and Gairik is an ideal educational institution run by Bharat Sevashram Sangha with the motto of developing the basic concept of humanity and service for mankind among the young generation. The institution encourages and practises continuously the philosophy of Indian thought and culture that flows from Vedic era thereby promoting the rich cultural heritage of India. Pupils are prepared for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Examination. The medium of instruction is English though Bengali and Hindi have a vital role in the school curriculum. Co-curricular activities such as Debate, Elocution, Recitation, Quiz, Football, Kho-Kho etc. are important features of the pupils' school life. Students accordingly interact with each other and with their teachers in English only.
