History

Montfort School, Agartala is an Educational Institute under the society of Brothers of Saint Gabriel. The school has completed a decade in providing quality education to its students. Presently the school has 716 students and has earnt a good reputation across the city. Slowly but surely the school has gained widespread popularity. The school is appreciated for following innovative teaching-learning process.

    The school was established on 25th January, 2010 with 22 students (8 for L.K.G and 14 for class-I) under the leadership of Late Rev. Bro. Joy Alex, the founder principal of the school.

    The school is committed to provide holistic education to the students with the motto-“Lead, Kindly, Light”. It promises for all-around development of every child in both scholastic and co-scholastic areas.

     Since its establishment in 2010, the school has shown a continuous growth and development in the field of infrastructure and academic curriculum.

    By 2015, the school reached its Elementary Level. The school started recruiting highly qualified and efficient teachers in order to improve the quality of teaching which would attract more and more students. At the same time, CBSE Affiliation was also applied for.

   Slowly and gradually the school has developed a library, a composite Science cum Maths laboratory and other facilities which students need to avail as they go to higher classes.

    In 2018, the school grew to the Secondary Level. In the same year in the month of November, the school got affiliated to CBSE (Affiliation No: 2030039). Since then the school is following the CBSE Curriculum very strictly. Recently the affiliation has been extended up to 31-03-2026.
