Facilities

ICT in Teaching Learning Process

1.Teacher’s Training:Workshops are being organized regularly for the teachers in order to train them to incorporate ICT in effective teaching. In these workshops teachers were trained to use Interactive Board/LED, Laptops equipped with latest Operating systems like Windows 8 and Linux-Ubuntu and Tablets. The teachers were also given training to use various quality resources available on internet like NROER, CIET, NCERT; for their content enrichment to make their teaching more qualitative. A user Id for each teacher on NROER has already been created for free access of the useful resource sharing in the national level repository. 2. Smart Learning for Students: The smart learning tool (software package) containing study material as per CBSE syllabus has been installed in the Smart Class Room and the students of 6th to 10th Class are being taught through the same. The software package contains comprehensive educational resources related to CBSE syllabus along with question-answer database. A separate time-table has also been charted out to implement the same effectively. 3. ICT integration and enhancing Quality of Education: Assessment of Speaking and Listening (ASL) for CBSE 9th and 10+1 Class is being facilitated through FOSS i.e. Audacity; as the students as well as the language teachers have been trained to use the tool. Teachers are using the online educational resources to optimum level to enhance the quality of knowledge dissemination by incorporating multi-media (text, images, audio and video) to address the need of teaching learning process for more effectiveness. ICT tools are being facilitated for preparation of projects of various subjects for Cluster as well as regional level exhibitions. The requisite exposure of Internet to students has been provided in order to access High order thinking (HOTs) question bank on respective subjects. Students have also been encouraged to take up online tests to cement the concepts learnt.

Library

Book review competition :- All the students used to write book review after reading the books. They write their views in 100 to 150 words. Scarp Book making Competition : Under Library club students prepare different subjects scrap Books such as on sport ans games career and guidance. Conductivity Library Based Activities: Such as Quize competition book binding , News records etc. Celebration of National Book Week.

E-ClassRoom

Computing technologies enable learners to combine traditional learning with online experiences . Taking into consideration of users previous IT experience with information communication, students may feel comfortable with computer assisted learning if they have experience in using a computer. Some researches have shown that earlier online learning experience can affect learners perceptions of a new online curriculum , extra enjoyable experiences sometimes lead to improved learning performance in the future. Students feel more satisfied with related online learning activities and are willing to use them again if they have had earlier online learning experience . The students previous learning experience with computers and networks has a tremendous persuade on participation in an online learning curriculum. The achievement of Info Tech Systems will depend largely on their acceptance and usage by the students themselves.

Physics Lab

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Tonk is proud to have a sophisticated Physics Laboratory with the latest state-of-the art facilities that equip the students to have a hands on experience. The Flat-topped tables used as student workstations allow multiple arrangements and combinations for laboratory work and small-group activities. The equipment ranges from the commonly found lens, magnet, beam balance, spring balance, glass prism to the advanced apparatus like voltmeter, ammeter and resistors and spectrometers to name a few. The laboratory is also equipped with an Interactive board and an LCD projector that allows the teachers to incorporate the latest technology in their lessons to arouse the interest and curiosity of the students. Furthermore, the spacious physics lab is designed in a way to accommodate students comfortably.

chemistry Lab

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Tonk is proud to have a sophisticated chemistry Laboratory with the latest state-of-the art facilities that equip the students to have a hands on experience. The avant-garde Chemistry Laboratory provides a platform for students to nurture the budding scientist within them. The laboratory is furnished with latest hi-tech interactive smart boards for a virtual real life learning experience.

Museum

A child can perceive a concept thoroughly only with the combination of theoretical teaching in a classroom and hands on experience in a lab. Math needs practice, interest and brainpower which are fostered by the Math lab. The Jawahar Navodaya vidyalaya Tonk Math Lab makes Math simple and fun for students. The lab is well equipped to demonstrate and elucidate any topic. It also enables the teachers to demonstrate and reinforce Mathematical concepts. Hence, it helps in mental enhancement of students in any area of Math like Algebra, Arithmetic, Calculus, Geometry, Statistics, and Trigonometry etc. Another software is the Metamouse which encourages Cooperative Learning and facilitates group activities.

Dinning Hall

Students take their meals in the comfortable ambience of the spacious Dining Hall guided on meal etiquettes by the House Masters and teachers. JNV Tonk catering provide hygienic and nutritive food and efficient service. Food is served to the juniors while the seniors serve themselves. Stress is laid on quality, nutrition and hygiene. A Menu Committee comprising students and teachers plan the menu and ensure quality, variety and diet options in consultation with a nutritionist. The menu includes vegetarian from Oriental, Continental and other cuisines.
