Building

Career Academy is located in a pristine and sprawling campus on Bhadson Road, 3.5 km from Thapar University, Patiala, making it easily accessible from all entry points of city. The aesthetically designed school campus with manicured lawns, playgrounds and ergonomically designed school building creates a blissful environment for students. The school has a well-designed infrastructure keeping in mind the overall growth and enhancement of the students in Academics and Co-Curricular Activities. Classrooms in Career Academy are spacious, well lighted and ventilated, open up to corridors spanned with colorful desks, cupboards, smart boards and attractive display boards. Safety First

A safe and Secure Environment is perquisite for effective teaching and learning. Career Academy has 24 hours digital surveillance technology monitoring the students, staff, visitors and the whole campus. Cameras are installed in the buses also. Well –Trained Caring Nannies to take care of Kindergarten, Primary kids. Visitors are allowed to enter by identifying themselves and their purpose. All staff members and students are required to wear Id cards for easy identification. Separate and secure guardian gate for students and parents. Our Gate guards act as a fence for the entire campus who patrol and monitor the school and provide security and protection to the campus against illegal entry, theft, vandalism. The school is well equipped with adequate supply of filtered water and RO system. Each floor has well maintained clean and hygienic washrooms for boys and girls. The whole campus is self-sufficient with the power backup and firefighting solutions. School has well planned approaches of ambit structural safety of building. School is vigilant enough and constantly be on the lookout for any form of child abuse and is well prepared to respond instantly to inappropriate behavior.

SUBJECT LABS

At Career Academy, Math lab facilitates Sensory-Motor learning especially in primary classes where students learn better with hands-on projects using mathematical equipment which furthermore enhances the ability to analyze and visualize the abstract concepts of Maths like: Trigonometry, Algebra and Mensuration. Our Maths curriculum comprises of Abacus and Vedic Math’s classes for Primary students where students learn the quick and complex mathematical calculations in split of seconds. Vedic Math techniques are used from grades 4th to 8th for fast and easy calculations of squaring, multiplication, division, addition etc. Mental ability & reasoning: To develop critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, reasoning and mental ability worksheets are solved by the students.

K.G Room

Activity room provides a stimulating environment for children and aids in spontaneous learning. The area is designed keeping in mind Indo- Canadian teaching methodologies where students can explore beyond classrooms and have time to become creative thinkers. Activity room gives a real time exposure to children to express their feelings and learn to listen to others. The core idea of this activity area is to engage the kids by providing them an environment that induces joy, happiness and creativity. The interior of this room is designed keeping the little ones in mind. Their inquisitive eyes get the feel of things fresh and attractive. Children are introduced to fundamental learning that is appealing and more recreational in nature. The school play station is truly a stunning place for tiny tots where Learning +fun = Holistic growth.

Library

The School library offers a calm and tranquil atmosphere to the students. Here they can quench their thirst for knowledge by reading vast variety of books, encyclopedias, journals, magazines, newspapers and e-resources. The library is managed by a qualified and experienced librarian whose efforts has made it a pivotal point for all kinds of Ted talks, lively discussions, knowledge building sessions and even talk shows by visitors .Students can access net for activities like debates and declamations. The library has been equipped with digital resources and e-smart learning through Netflix, documentaries and subject based resources

CONFERENCE HALL

The school has the state of the art-Air Conditioned Conference Hall with 100 seat capacity. Career-Counseling workshops, Inter-School Competitions, Debates, Seminars and Professional Development Workshops are conducted regularly. It is well equipped with projector, Smart board and Public address system.

Art Room

Aesthetic education plays an important role in the universal development of a child. It takes into consideration the child’s creative growth and intuitive perceptions, besides inculcating a deep, lasting appreciation and enjoyment of art. The enormous Art-cum-Sculpture Room is a creative hub which provides both space and opportunity for a wide range of activities including drawing, painting, poster making, sculpting etc. Pupils are taught basic knowledge of colours as well as theory of art. Students are exposed to the language of art such as: line, shape, colour, texture, pattern and form. Children learn to utilize their creativity and express it in a constructed way. Each child’s creation is unique and helps in creating as well as building confidence and self-esteem. Students who have opted for subject art and craft as their hobby are offered various activities like: Oil painting on canvas Various folk arts belong to different states like: Madhubani etc. Rugs making with old clothes. Bird house with waste plastic bottle. Pot making with cement and old clothes, diya making.

ESL & ROBOTICS LAB

Career Academy School’s ESL Lab has been proving a useful yardstick to enrich the basic language skills for the struggling pupils and foster confidence in them. The four essential skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking and writing are taught to enable students to develop meaningful communication. Various soft skills like self-reflection, empathy, leadership, compassion, moral values, inclusiveness and non-verbal communication are a part of this learning strategy based on Indo-Canadian curriculum. The infrastructure comprises of Google-enabled smart room, interview corner, specialized ASL gadgets and a special library access with a trained ESL faculty builds a conducive environment for teaching –learning process as well as going through different levels- Basic, Intermediate and Advanced.
