INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADMISSION

TSG Gurukul offers three types of admission options.

1. Day Scholars : These students will bring lunch from home and separate mess hall is provided for them.

2. Day Boarders : This group will be provided with breakfast and lunch every day. The food served is of international standards and is prepared and supervised by E IRS's own catering department.

 3. Regular Boarders: This group is allowed to leave the hostel only during vacations or on the 2nd Saturday of each  month. Currently, this group includes students from USA,Europe and Middle East.

Requirements :

Admission is open to all respective of caste or creed . A copy of the Birth Certificate from the Registrar of Births and Deaths will be required at the time of admission to LKG/UKG and class 1. Pupils coming from other schools will have to produce a Transfer Certificate issued by the school last attended. Admission will be confirmed after an entrance test(not required for LKG/UKG & Grade 1)
The Senior Secondary Section ( XI & XII)

The Senior Secondary Section consists of Science & Commerce Stream. This course leads to the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE). Student in the Senior Secondary become more specialized in their studies with focus on eventual career choices. Specialist teaching therefore increases to equip students for higher education and the professional world. Apart from the prescribed CBSE syllabus, the school strives to enhance the knowledge base of the students by developing their analytical power and ability in order to succeed in competitive examinations.

Students those  who are interested to join in TSG Gurukul has to do the online registration to appear for the entrance  test based on X- grade SA2 portions which will be held in 1st week of April every year. Based on the performance of the admission test and the X- garde SA1 marks only admission as well as streams will be confirmed.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

TSG Gurukul International School welcomes students who can demonstrate merit or potential for merit, as well as those who will work hard, show commitment to their studies, try their best and contribute to the school through active participation in a range of activities and residential life. Students will also be welcomed if they can show a good understanding for their age of personal responsibility. If the student is admitted, his/her test results will also allow the staff to make an initial assessment of general level of academic ability.

What is Merit?
Merit entails responsibility and understanding of obligations. When assessing levels of merit the selection committee will ask itself the question is the student likely either now or at some later time to take full advantage of the opportunity of studying at TSG Gurukul? If the answer is 'yes' or 'most probably' then the student is likely to be admitted.

Admission Tests
The entrance tests will not seek primarily to examine prior knowledge of facts. Facts are of course important but of no less importance are understanding, critical thinking, and general aptitude. The tests will cover a wide range of disciplines including English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities, but they will focus also on general reasoning and critical thinking.

The Admissions Interview
The interview is designed to allow the student to introduce themselves to the panel, to discuss their application form, and to present some aspect of their life of which they are proud or which is of greatest interest to them.
