KINDERLAND PROGRAMME

Entrusting a child at a very impressionable age to an institution requires complete confidence in their abilities. At Choice Kinderland, we respect the trust that parents place in us by leaving their tiny tots in our care. Kinderland is a place of transition and learning for some children. We believe it is a place to lay the foundation for continuous lifelong learning. Our classrooms are vibrant and aesthetically pleasing for the young minds. Full of fun and interspersed with attention garnering learning aids, we strive to make their Kinderland experience truly memorable.

MODEL EARLY LEARNING CENTRE

As part of a new initiative to reduce the travel time for our tiny tots, we decided to bring the school closer to home. Thus were born Model Early Learning Centres call Kinderland at locations – Chevayur, Vellalassery, facilitating the parents to choose the school closest to their homes for their young ones. Both the centres are standardized in terms of design, themes and colours that enrich the learning experience and create a fun filled and happy ambience for our students.

We believe that every child is special and unique. With more than two decades of experience and excellence in the field of education, our simple recipe for the success of Kinderland rests on the promise of safety and happiness of the child. We aim to create a welcoming, safe and caring environment that promotes free expression, appreciation, enjoyment, discovery and development of individual talents.

Housed in a colourful, stimulating and child-friendly building, the Model Early Learning Centre is designed for the development of various Early Learning Skills in an informal setting.

Our school emphasis on developing in student’s self-confidence and the ability to effectively communicate in English. Teachers ensure this through effective use of language and by encouraging children to express themselves freely.

PRIMARY SCHOOL (GRADE I - IV)

Primary Education has been identified as the most crucial stage in the education of a child. The aim of the Choice primary is to provide a sound foundation in the development of a child's personality and his /her understanding of good and bad.

Our biggest assets are the children in our school. We encourage them to be self-motivated and allow them to self-paced. Choice School, Calicut offers a pleasant and warm atmosphere where we showcase our absolute willingness to inspire our young wards to develop critical thinking and be passionate learners.

The curriculum followed in the primary school aims at:

Building and reinforcing students' sense of identity and cultural awareness
Stimulating curiosity and inquiry in order to foster a spirit of discovery and enjoyment of learning
Quipping students with the skills to learn and acquire knowledge, individually or collaboratively, and to apply these skills and knowledge accordingly across a broad range of areas.
Encouraging diversity and flexibility in teaching methods
Providing appropriate forms of assessment and benchmarking
Field trips and nature walks also form an interesting part of the curriculum along with art and craft activities.
Children of the Primary school are introduced to computers from grade 1.
Developmental Dramatics is a part of their curriculum too, aimed at developing self-esteem and communication skills of the children.
The Literary Club enhances reading habits in children of grades 1 & 2 through fun-based activities, dramatics, listening to audiotapes etc.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (GRADE V – VII)

The Middle School at Choice School sees the students being readied to face the rigors of the Secondary and the Higher Secondary CBSE curriculum. Closer supervision and greater support from the teaching community is given to the students and their strengths and weaknesses identified and worked upon during the academic year. Thus regular teacher-parent interactions are augmented and remedies for problems or difficulties faced by students are offered.

Our curriculum ensures that they hone and improve on the skills developed in the previous year. In-class learning, project based learning, group discussions that covers a variety of topics, field-visits and technology are some of the ways that we utilize to gain knowledge.

A fully equipped classroom with state-of-the-art facilities is provided to make the class room experience enjoyable.
