Stepping Stones Education Society, a government registered body, was set up in April, 1984 dedicated to provide children an environment rich with opportunities for their mental, social, physical and emotional growth.Stepping Stones School aspires to stand out among the best schools of the region. A humble beginning was made in Chandigarh when a preparatory school was opened in April 1984.The strength of students was only 14. But this was just the beginning. Word spread. The dedication, the modern methods of teaching and the sustained efforts to help the child realize his full potential paid off. In a short span Stepping Stones School at Chandigarh established itself as a premier institution of learning. Today, we have two branches one in Sec 38- A and the other in 37-D with a total of more than 2300 students. The school is recognized by the Chandigarh administration and is affiliated to CBSE.We have an individualized academic program in which children progress through a curriculum of concepts and skills at their own pace. We utilize a variety of instructional techniques and methods, including skill development curriculum implemented, through ATAL Tinkering Lab, robotics, science/mathematics labs etc. We have pioneered in establishing, the latest in ICT technology, be it preparing/correction of assessments, teaching aids such as 3D Lab, smart boards and associated software.Stepping Stones, believes in a sound mind in a sound body. The school is well equipped with physical infrastructure for various outdoor games such as basketball, volleyball, cricket, football, badminton and roller skating. Students are also encouraged to play indoor games like table – tennis, table soccer, scrabble and other board games.
