The St. Thomas School is run by MAR THOMA CHURCH. Mar Thomas Church is based in Kerala. The church was established by St. Thomas, one of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ. It was established in A. D. 52, the church is spread all over the world. To impart the love of god through service is the mission and witness of the church. Now the church has 650 schools all over India, 85 Gram Jyoti Schools which imparts English Education in interior villages of India. There are several Art & Science colleges and technical colleges under the Church. The Mar Thomas Church is one of the pioneers in the field of modern education in India.Love the God and serve the nation is our aim. We set quality per excellence as aim. We believe in the slow and steady progress in every field. The St. Thomas School, Surat was established in the year 1997 and is managed by Western India Zonal Assembly (WIZA) of the Mumbai diocese of the Mar Thomas Church. WIZA is registered under the societies registration act 1860 vide reg. No. MAH/BOM/206/90 and public trust registration number is F-13893 (BOM). The Trust has many important charitable organizations, Navjeevan Centre, Mumbai for the rehabilitation of the children of red light area,Tribal Children hostel in Ahwa & Pipalpada are some of them.
