About St. Peter's School

The Founder Bishop and Chairman, The Rt. Rev. Dr Probal Kanto Dutta laid the foundation of this school resolving to set up an English Medium Institution in the compound of Ascension Church, Purulia.

In early August 2012 construction began with a groundbreaking service held on the grounds demarcated to the school building. .

On the 14th of April 2013, the first phase of construction was completed with five large classrooms and an office room. The newly constructed building was blessed and consecrated by the founder Bishop & Chairman, The Rt. Rev. Dr Probal Kanto Dutta and thereafter inaugurated by Ms. Maria Fernandez, Vice-Chairperson, minority commission, Govt. of West Bengal.

On 16th April 2013, St. Peter’s School, Purulia proudly began their new Academic year 2013-2014 with eighty-two students on the rolls. In the year 2015, Mrs. Archita Sen took over as Principal and thereafter the St. Peter’s School continued to grow at a rapid pace with the support of the Managing Committee Members, looking forward to the glorious days and not succumbing to recent worldwide crisis eroding all unforeseen calamities
