ABOUT US

In the late 1800s, a group of local residents started a school called "Native High school". It ran till 1931 when it was taken over by Fr. Peter Aloysius and became St. Joseph's High School. This administration of the school by Catholic Fathers continued till 1966 when Fr. Mathew Vadacherry was the last Head Master. From then on the school was taken over, in 1966, by Monfort Brothers of St. Gabriel.

St.Joseph Matric HSS, Chengalpattu was established in 1969 and it is managed by the Pvt. Unaided. It is located in Urban area. It is located in Kattankolathur block of KANCHEEPURAM district of Tamil Nadu. The school consists of Grades from 1 to 12. The school is Co-educational and it have an attached pre-primary section. The school is N/A in nature and is not using school building as a shift-school. English is the medium of instructions in this school. This school is approachable by all weather road.
