FIT INDIA SCHOOL WEEK CELEBRATIONS : 2020

Fit India campaign- 2020 commenced in SPPS : [14th Dec. 2020 to 19th Dec. 2020]

Fit India movement, an ambitious movement started by Ministry of Health and Education Government of India has commenced in Hon. Sharad Pawar Public School, Manur, Tal Kalwan Dist Nashik (Maharashtra).

The campaign began with inauguration at the auspicious hands of founder of institute Dr. J.D. Pawar (Annasahab) by cutting the ribbon.

Principal B. N. Shinde explained the motto and need of fit India campaign. He said that due to change lifestyle pattern which is inevitable in this era brought many physical as well as mental diseases. Anxiety, fear, blood pressure, diabetes are just few samples of it.

Such generations can’t be future of India. Such few corrective measures we must start now itself.

We the schools have very big responsibility to nurture future generations. let’s inculcate values, principles as well as importance of physical fitness in this generations.

“The step which is taken by ministry of education and CBSE about fit India campaign is welcome step in this regard” said principal.

Dr. J. D. Pawar (Annasahab) emphasized on ‘secrets of fitness’ with the gathering.

He unfolded many virtues of physical fitness like a regular Yogasanas walking and exercises which can be done at home. He further explained one has to fit physically and mentally. Fitness is at paramount importance.

Due to technology and overuse of mobile and social media the emotional behaviour of citizens have changed dramatically. It brings very quick variation in mood pattern, invisible mental diseases are invited due to this. For this reason regular walking without any gadget in hand and regular meditation are some solutions.

“Maximize uptake of oxygen in body and you will remain healthy by all means”, said Dr. Pawar.

Mr. J. L. Patel (Principal Sr. Sec.) and Mr C. R. Viswaswaran (School Coordinator) was present at this occasion.

The session was then followed by free hand exercises, spot jogging, jumping at place, and few Yogasanas and Omkar chanting.

In real sense Hon. Sharad Pawar Public School has been celebrating fit India campaign throughout the year.

Celebration

The school garners the best values from the Indian tradition and other world cultures. The children are exposed to the rich Indian cultural and spiritual heritage creating a genuine respect for their country through celebrations of festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Janamashtmi, Christmas, Dusshera, Independence & Republic Day in the school.

Trips

The children of all classes are taken for regular outings / picnics to nearby areas such as to the picturesque hill station of Saputara, the holy shrines of Shirdi & Triambakeshwar, the mega city of Mumbai, the mother city of Nashik etc. To inculcate a spirit of adventure, Trekking trips are organized to the Sahyadri Ranges for all classes from Std. IV. Our students of Secondary section along with their teachers have successfully scaled Mt. Kalsubai, the highest peak of Maharashtra, three times.

Sharad Pawar International School also undertakes excursions to places like Shimla, Manali, Kullu, Hyderabad, Goa, Rajasthan, West Bengal etc. to expose the children to the rich cultural tapestry of India.

This year our Trips had visited at following places ;-

Class –III at Pune, Mahabaleshwar, Pratapgarh and Panchgani.
Class – IV at Hydrabad, Ramoji Film City.
Class – V at Delhi, Chandigarh, Kullu-Manali, Shimla.
Class – VI at Delhi, Chandigarh, Kullu-Manali, Shimla.
Class – VII at Darjeeling, Gangtok.
Class – VIII at Darjeeling, Gangtok.
Class – IX at Imagica Water park.

TECHNOVATION- 5 (2019)

Technovation – 5(2019) is conducted with great zeal and enthusiasm in SPIS. It was fifth consecutive year. Such opportunities helps children to nurture their scientific temper and help to inculcate scientific attitude.

This time progressive concept which enhance Integration of Arts in Science which was reflected rightly from the Scientific diagram made by using Rangoli.
