About Us

Shakespeare Matriculation School was established by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tiruchirapalli due to the selfless efforts of Rev.Fr.A.Irudayam Antony in 1973. Rev.Fr.A.Irudayam Antony, moved by the words of the Parishioners of the Seven Dollars Church, initiated the challenging task of instituting an English medium school.

With heartfelt gratitude, we remember the excellent services rendered by our honourable former Correspondents, Rev.Fr.Kulanthai Samy, Rev.Fr.R.V.Mathias, Rev.Fr.S.Chinnappan, Rev.Fr.M.Gnanadickam, Rev.Fr.L.Anthuvan, Rev.Fr.A.Jeyaraj, Rev.Fr.A.Soosairaj, Rev.Fr.S.Ambrose and Rev.Fr.S.Deepan Kulanthai Raj, Dean of Studies Rev.Fr.S.Maria Soosai for accompanying us throughout the journey of 47years.

At present, the Shakespearites’ family moulds our 795 students. Every individual is paid special and proper attention by our dedicated 27 teaching and 08 non-teaching faculties. Owing our sincerity to our School motto ‘ LOVE & LEARN’, the school strives in empowering the integral formation, spiritual & moral growth along with the academic excellence of each and every shakespearite.

Here comes another remarkable day in the history of the shakespearites’ family. We are glad to inform that the Shakespeare Matriculation School has success fully completed its 47 years of service and energetically enters into the 48th year and commences its untiring work of producing well – disciplined children, hence forth the enlightened future responsible citizens of Mother India.
