Co-curricular activities are very important for the overall development of a child. An activity based curriculum has been designed to cater to the various physical,, mental and psychological needs of the growing children & emphasis is laid on co-scholastic activities as per CBSE pattern.Different activities are organized in the school. The Morning Assembly is conducted by one class every day, where mass participation is ensured. All important festivals are celebrated in the school in a traditional style to develop secular outlook.
Physical fitness and mental altertness go hand in hand. The school has facilities for indoor games, where table-tennis, carom-board, chess etc. are taught and practised under the expert guidance.
The school is proud to provide facilities in the form of proper courts, game-kits and trained instructors in the game of Volleyball, Throw-ball, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Handball, Baseball, Roller-Skating, Cricket, Taeckowondo, Judo and Karate. Morning and evening practice in these outdoor games, under the able guidance of D.P.E. teachers and instructors help the students to become physically fit, strong, more disciplined and confident.
Our philosophy matches with that of Shakespeare who rightly wrote:
"The man that hs no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for teasons, stratagems and spoils."
Realizing the importance of music inlife, a music room under the guidance of trained instrutors with instruments such as Cango, Guitar, Sitar, Tabla, etc. is made available to the students. It is envisaged to develop a school Orchestra in the very near future.
Indian classical dances are also taught to the students under the expert guidance of dance teachers. In addition to this, Bhangra and Giddha classes are also held to keep the culture of Punjab alive.
Our Art teachers impart intensive training to the students in all types of paintings.
In short, through all these activities students are encouraged to learn new skills and express their hidden talents effectively.
