LIBRARY

The library is the real treasure-hub for any learning institution. Accordingly, we have left no stone unturned in featuring age-appropriate books for students in our vast library. Our reading program complements an integrated learning plan which includes e-library small-group instruction, independent practice and assessment. Students from classes VI to XII have a library period once a week to check out various course books. In addition to course books, students can check out periodicals, journals and different study materials for reference and can learn at home. Furthermore, all authentic titles are augmented by effective teaching strategies featuring sets of tailored instructions to encourage the independent learner in every student. The teaching strategies equip our students with the necessary comprehension skills to read and understand informational texts conveniently on their own! The senior class students can avail the e-library facility during library periods and also on holidays.

Computer Lab

Saint Joseph Public School has two computer labs, one each for junior and senior classes, that supplement the classroom learning experience of our students. The computer laboratories are well-equipped with more than fifty computers that help us provide 1:1 learning so that each child gets to work on an individual workstation assigned only for their practice. We ensure that all our computer systems are upgraded regularly and are in sync with the latest technological trends. We have high-performance branded computer systems available in our labs, namely Dell and HP. We also make sure that the operating system in each computer model adheres to the necessary CBSE guidelines and is the latest with new and improved features and better security. Students are free to use the systems to prepare presentations, do research, practise tests and perform different class and school activities.

Science Lab

Saint Joseph Public School has separate laboratories for each of the science subjects. Our science laboratory ensures that each student gets first-hand learning experiences by performing various experiments independently. All our labs are well-maintained and adhere to strict safety measures to provide children with a safe and secure learning experience.

Biology Lab

The school is equipped with a modular lab that has modern facilities and features spanning various branches of biology, like cell studies, microbiology, genetics, environmental science, etc. We have adequately ventilated, spacious workstations that can accommodate about 50 students at a given time. The lab proudly owns scientific charts, live specimens and models collected over several decades for students to perform experiments seamlessly. Along with the latest scientific equipment, the laboratory is also equipped with digital classes for students to understand the theories and concepts before experimentation. We have designed a special storage area at the rear end of the lab to display students’ projects, innovative ideas and inventions to encourage their scientific aptitude and talent. Our entire setup is meticulously managed and maintained by qualified and well-experienced technicians and laboratory staff who are trained in the safety procedures required in a laboratory.

Physics Lab

Our state-of-the-art physics laboratory is spacious and well-equipped with modern equipment to make the learners understand concepts through practical experiments. It can easily accommodate around 70–80 students, making it ideal for conducting experiments, encouraging teamwork and exchanging ideas. All the experiments carried out in the physics lab are coherent with the existing school curriculum.

Chemistry Lab

We believe that it is imperative for students to develop their ability to understand the logic behind chemical experiments. We give paramount importance to students’ safety in our school. Students learn, enjoy, explore and take responsibility for treating chemicals, apparatus and pieces of equipment with utmost care. Almost 50 experiments can take place in the laboratory at a time. The lab is under security camera surveillance which reduces the chance of using unfair means during experimentation. It is well-ventilated and provides comfort and ease to each student in action.

MUSIC

The Music Department at Saint Joseph Public School believes that music is a universal language. Teaching the performance and perception of music prepares students for an enjoyable and productive school life in many ways. Students learn both vocal and instrumental music. Students’ introduction to music occurs when new students come to school. Students master the fundamentals of music and then gradually begin composing, performing, theory, history, exploring ragas and experimenting on their own. In a short amount of time, many students can perfectly play or sing an entire song. Each student receives individual attention. Our musical vocabulary includes tabla, guitar, congo, drums, keyboard and others.

Sports

As imperative as it is for a student to be academically successful in a competitive world, participating in sports and excelling in them is also equally important. Saint Joseph Public School boasts an enormous field where students participate in a variety of outdoor games, like cricket, football, basketball, etc. We celebrate sports day with much pomp and zeal as well as host multiple memorable sports events. Our school sports team has represented the school in various events across the country and brought us many accolades.

AUDITORIUM

Saint Joseph Public School boasts a spacious auditorium that can accommodate more than 150 students at a time. All school events, functions, seminars, conferences, social meetings, etc. are conducted in the auditorium. The auditorium boasts of standalone seating, array seating, comfortable chairs, a large stage and well developed sound system.

MEDICAL CARE

Well-trained and highly experienced medical personnel are available on the school campus at all times. The medical room at Saint Joseph Public School is well equipped with necessary first aid and essential medical care equipment. In case of a severe illness, we make sure that parents are intimated immediately.
