Chettinad Rani Meyyammai Matriculation School (CRMMS) of Puliyur C.F. was founded in June 1981 by the Royal Family of Chettinad under the auspices of the famous Industrial House of India – M/s Chettinad Cement Corporation Ltd.

CRMMS was promoted exclusively to meet the educational needs of the rural masses, alongside the children of the industrial employees. The school premises is ideally located far away from the dust and the din of an urban setting, and as such, it offers a peaceful learning atmosphere. It has six blocks with all the necessary facilities like the library, laboratories, playground, audiovisual support, etc.

Although this is a rural school, CRMMS is like any other public/urban school that adopts modern educational technology for teaching and learning. It is supported by a dedicated team of teachers and non-teaching staff who strive to transform CRMMS into an elite educational institution.

CRMMS is affiliated with the Directorate of Matriculation Schools, Tamil Nadu, and delivers quality holistic education. While English is the medium of instruction, Tamil is a mandatory first Language in school.
