Introduction

Rajkamal Saraswati Vidya Mandir has an important place in the education sector of Dhanbad. Today the present form of the school is well equipped with all the latest facilities. This school is run by Child Welfare Committee, Dhanbad District. This school is affiliated to Vidya Vikas Samiti, Jharkhand (Vidya Bharati All India Institute of Education, New Delhi) and is recognized by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (C.B.S.E.) up to class XII. It was established in the memory of his eldest son Late Rajkamal Agrawal, Guru Purnima Vikram Samvat 2035 accordingly on July 20, 1978 from the three acres of land donated by the eminent businessman of Dhanbad, Late Rammohan Agrawal ji. Later, due to the inspiration and guidance of a personality like Late Madanlal Agrawal ji, the above progress of this school took place. In his journey from the basic construction of the school till now, Dr. Paramanand Gutgutia ji had a special contribution. Since 1992, due to the tireless efforts of Shri Kamal Nayan Dudani, Chairman of Child Welfare Committee and Minister Shri Shyam Sundar Chaudhary, computer room, senior classroom building, state-of-the-art laboratories were constructed. After that from 1996 to 27th April 2002, the school is progressing on the path of above mentioned progress under the guidance of late Santosh Kumar Agrawal ji, Chairman of Child Welfare Committee and then from 28th April 2002 to Shri Shyam Sundar Chaudhary ji. Today the school has a proud place not only in coalfields but in the whole of Jharkhand.
