This journey which started in 1963 is now entering its 60th year. In this long journey, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has made a distinct identity within the country in the field of education and today Kendriya Vidyalayas are counted as an excellent institution.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has been entrusted with the important responsibility of shaping the future of more than 14.5 lakh students studying in 1252 Kendriya Vidyalayas. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has always worked towards inculcating the spirit of Indianness in its students by keeping the overall development at the center. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is also playing a leading role in implementing various aspects of the National Education Policy in school education. The teachers of Kendriya Vidyalayas are continuously making their valuable contribution to meet the many standards of education. Therefore, I specially send my hearty congratulations to our present and former teachers for creating this form of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
