Brief description about how the Kendriya Vidyalaya has progressed since its inception
Kendriya Vidyalaya Bamangachi was born in January 1986 and started functioning in the Eastern Railway Institute Hall at Bamangachi. Then it shifted to Eastern Railway running room Bamangachi in the year 1988. At that time it was running till Class VIII but gradually it was upgraded and XI commerce stream was introduced. The first batch of class X passed out in 1992 and that of class XII Commerce in 1997. Later on, KVS sanctioned constructed building was taken over in April 2003. Presently the Vidyalaya has been upgraded upto class XII with all the three streams i.e. Science, Commerce and Humanities. The total student strength of the Vidyalaya is at present 1278. The Vidyalaya is running three sections right from class I to VII and two sections from VIII to X. Classes XI and XII are single section. The Vidyalaya has an enriched library, Science Laboratories, Mathematics lab and Computer labs. The Vidyalaya has a good set of teachers who are all excellent on their own. All kinds of curricular and co-curricular activities are conducted to bring out the facilities of the children.
