Curriculum

Kamala Niketan Montessori School is a K-12 school, following the guidelines set by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The curriculum at KNMS is interdisciplinary and integrated, reflecting life as our students experience it. We offer an all-encompassing curriculum that balances academic rigour with the creative arts, sports and community service, while focusing on life skills of adaptability, ethics, critical thinking, problem solving and mindfulness. The curriculum at KNMS cultivates new ways of thinking, seeing and processing ideas in children’s minds.For children joining us at pre-kindergarten level, we follow the Montessori program until they complete their early primary level. For children joining us at the Upper-Kindergarten level, we follow an integrated approach based on Montessori and nursery methods until they complete their primary level.In the middle and secondary level, we follow an experiential, enquiry-based approach, with a curriculum based on guidelines provided by the CBSE. Children are encouraged to explore subjects in depth, and in parallel, which often culminates in integrated projects.In Senior Secondary School, students are guided in their preparations for their CBSE board exams by teachers who are subject matter experts.
