DIGITAL CLASS ROOM

An Audio Visual Room – a well furnished mini hall (60 X 20) is on the 1st floor equipped with TV, LCD Projector and state of the art Audio Visual equipment’s.

OTHER FACILITIES

The services of a qualified Counselor is available in the School for students who need psychological support. Services of Remedial Teacher is made available to look after the aspects of learning disabilities in the primary children. The School campus houses a Chapel. It is open to all irrespective of denomination or nationality. Certain Classes are equipped with interactive digital class.

LABORATORIES

There are laboratories devoted to Roboticand Mathematics. We have a computer lab, applicable junior students and senior students. All laboratories have internet connectivity. The state-of-the- art Labs plays a crucial role in the higher secondary curriculum.

LIBRARY

The school library is accessible for all the students of the school. Library is housed in spacious room with an area of 1600 sq.ft. The total number of books exceeds 10500, with additions being made annually to the extent of approximately 250. There are 2 computers which can be used by the students for accessing internet and for browsing the book lists There are sections devoted to text books and reference books, Board Examination Reviews, inspirational, motivational, fiction, drama, poetry, books on travel, environment, animal care, life skills, disaster management, and many other topics. Hobby-related and activity-oriented books for self-study and ‘learning by doing. The library subscribes to around 22 periodicals of which 9 are general periodicals, 1 sports magazine, 6 periodicals for the junior students, 5 periodicals specializing in subjects, and 1 computer magazine. The Decimal classification scheme is followed for the shelf arrangement. Taking into consideration the present curriculum and also the future growth of the library Card System is being followed for issuing books. Two qualified librarians guide the students in reference skills and efficient reading habits. To promote the use of books among children, Book Exhibitions are conducted in the School premises by publishers and book sellers, where the students are able to purchase books of their choice.

AUDITORIUM

Jyothi Nikethan Auditorium is a massive, all-weather and multipurpose facility with a built-up area of 1500 sqft. and a seating capacity of 750, where a variety of literary, cultural and indoor sports events are conducted. Many inter-school competitions hosted by the School are also staged at this venue.

SCHOOL TRANSPORT

School bus service is available for students. The school buses serve all major residential areas of the city and its suburbs.

MUSIC ROOM

The Music Room is furnished with equipments and instruments in line with contemporary standards. This includes a sound recording facility through which students have the opportunity to improve their voice and delivery dynamics by listening to their own recordings. Jyothi Nikethan maintain a beautiful School Choir with the support and guidance of two experienced and qualified music teachers.

PLAYGROUND

Along the banks of the picturesque backwaters is located the playground of the School. Facilities are available for soccer, basketball, volleyball, cricket, shuttle badminton etc. There is also a 100 meters track for holding athletics events.
