CO - CURRICULAR

HOUSE SYSTEM :

All the students and staff are grouped into four houses namely, Shivaji, Tippu Sultan, Ashoka and Ranapratap to form a STAR Alliance. Each house is headed by a captain and a Vice Captain guided by House Master and House Mistress. All competitions are conducted House wise.

CCA COMPETITIONS :

Inter-House/Inter Class CCA Competitions are conducted as per a specially designed CCA Calender. Competitions like Debates, Essay writing, Singing, Speech, Drama, Drawing etc are conducted at various levels. Participation at class level is compulsory for all students.

Students' participation and involvement will be assessed by the teachers and will be considered for Internal/ Co-Scholastic Assessment.

STUDENT COUNCIL :

There is a Student Council functioning in the school to develop and nurture leadership qualities in students and to support the teachers in organing various co-curricular activities through Science club, Eco club, Health club, Literary club and Heritage club.

About two acres of land is enmarked exclusively for Sports and Games. The provision is made to play the following games.

Athletic Events - (200mts. track) Long Jump, High Jump, Shotput, Discus, Hammer, Javelin etc.

CURRICULUM HIGH

We follow the 10+2 pattern of educatio. We provide for a general education of 10 years leading to the All India Secondary School Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Also we provide science and commerce stream at plus two level leading to All India Senior Secondary School Examination Conducted by CBSE, Delhi.

CURRICULUM

The curriculum has been developed by the National Council for Education Research and Training which was set up in 1961. The NCERT is an apex body with these objectives.

It has been doing excellent work in preparing and publishing school text books and reference materials for teachers.

The NCERT curriculum has been evolved by experts and the best teachers across the country. The students who go through this stream develop a healthy National consciousness and a catholicity of out look. The NCERT text books mirror the qualitative focus of the curriculum framers.
