J.k. Public Sr. Sec. School is an institution with a difference. If we count the noble and dedicated souls of Kapurthala, the name of Late Lala Jhanda Mal Ji figures at the top.“Actions Speak louder than the words”, the action of Sh. Joginder Kumar the worthy son of worthy father speaks for it. He has Immortalized the name of his worthy father by starting ‘Jhanda Mal Memorial School’ in the evergreen memory of his respected father.He started the school for the noble cause of imparting education to the younger generation of Kapurthala and surrounding area as per the wish of his late father.The sapling of this School,which was planted on 16th January,1983 has now blossomed into full groom tree under the name of ‘J.K. PUBLIC SR. SEC. SCHOOL’.

The School was affiliated in 1996-97 upto Matric with Punjab School Education Board , Mohali.With the passage of time the school was upgraded upto 10+2 level in 2012-2013 with Commerce and Arts streams.

From the beginning Sh. Joginder Kumar ,President of J.K. Educational Society was eager to create a school of advanced education to bring creative scholars together with citizens interested in improving their understanding of key issues of today through active questioning, debate and discussion.

Performance Of The School

Toppers are not born they are groomed at J.K. Public Sr. Sec. School, Kapurthala. Students are lucky enough that they are making their life colourful and bright by getting education in this institution where excellence is not an act but a habit. As far as academic results are concerned school has always shown 100% results in all board classes which are far above the board pass %age. It is an honour to the institution that ‘Ritika Sarad’ was placed in the Merit List in Matric examination conducted by Punjab school Education Board in March 2018 by obtaining 94.6% marks. It is a sparkling performance done by ‘Ritika Sarad’. This is all due to the efforts of well qualified staff and School Management.
