Smart Classrooms

The classrooms here at JMIS give one a glimpse of the future. Enlarged with more space to meet up with growing demands of providing good education to many, the classrooms are equipped with Smart Boards giving teachers a chance to take the teaching – learning experience to a whole different level. Concepts can be easily grasped through visuals and working models. Studying social science through smart boards helps transport students to a different era and hence makes recollection of facts easier. For English, films, lectures and thought provoking snippets are shown which initiate discussions thereby enhancing spoken English skills. Eloquent, impressive speech clippings are also shown, which exposes children to good vocabulary and ideas, which in turn help them to be more expressive and articulate.

Sports

JMIS provides excellent infrastructure, one of the best among Vellore schools, for the students to excel in sports. These include all facilities for athletics, a badminton court, a basket ball court, one cricket and football field including one practice pitch. Students are given the freedom to choose and specialize in any sport of their choice. JMIS will be actively competing at all levels of sports: inter-class, inter-house, inter-school, zonal, inter-zonal, state, national and even in inert-nationals too.

Transport

Our school is placed right on the Katpadi –Tiruvalam Highway. It is at a distance of just 5 mins from VIT, Ammundi, Lalapet, Ranipet, New CMC Campus(Nandhiyalam), Thiruvalam and 15 mins from Arcot, Vellore, CMC , Katpadi Railway station. Safe Transport is available to all the surrounding areas. Female attenders will be present in all the bus routes.

Seminar hall

Another striking feature in the school is the majestic Seminar Hall where most of the functions and school events like the Annual Day, Children’s day etc will take place. The seminar hall will be able to accommodate more than 500 people for any occasion.

Library

Open-shelf Library, with over 5000 books. JMIS encourages a love for reading. Our Library cum Media centre not only has a vast range of real books but also quite story telling corners. We use a special software Library Management Software which enables the students to access library resources online, from anywhere.
