Book clubs are fun activity where a group of children read the same book within a set period and then discuss.
Book clubs create space for children to talk, ask questions and interact with others. They encourage team work, foster a child's ability to listen to, react, and create a sense of community around books.
Book clubs help improve reading fluency, enhance their vocabulary, help comprehend better and develop research skills.
Books open up the windows to the world.

Terrace gardening

Terrace gardening is a novel phenomenon in the field of gardening. Jaycees Public School has adopted this method of gardening to grow vegetables on the terrace of the school building. The adulterated vegetables are the cause of several diseases today. To avoid this the fresh and nutritious vegetables are grown in the terrace in an organic way. It serves a good opportunity to the children to learn about the vegetables and gives them a basic idea of agriculture. They spend a creative in gardening. It becomes more important in today's circumstances when the kids are confined to their homes in the gated colonies and don't find an opportunity to go out in the fields and know about farming. This creative and fruitful act has got a lot of appreciation from the parents.

Scout and Guide

Jaycees Public School ensures overall development of students and provides social and moral education to the students by making them participate in Scout and guides, instilling the values of character and hard work among them.Scout and guide helps in character training and prepare the students to be a good citizen which inculcates a sense of responsibilities, trustworthiness, and self-knowledge to explore and discuss the world beyond the classrooms. Our school's aim is to train the students to help the society in natural and man made disaster. it orients them to do community service.
