The 19th December 2013 (Thursday), 2013 was the most auspicious day when the foundation stone of Jawahar   Navodaya  Vidyalaya-2,  Sitapur was laid down by Hon’ble  Shri Jitin Prasad, the then  MoS, Minister of HRD Government of India. This is the second J.N.V. of  district  Sitapur. This J.N.V. covers 09 blocks out of 19  of the district Sitapur .These blocks are- Aliya, Behta, Gondlamau, Hargaon, Laharpur, Maholi, Mishrikh, Parsendi  &  Pisawan. Buildings include the beautiful  newly-constructed Hexagon  Academic Block, Boys (G+3) & Girls (G+1) Hostels, Staff Quarters (G+3), and Mess etc. The Academic Block has a Smart Classroom, Computer Lab, Science Labs, and M.I. Room etc. The Vidyalaya is 7 km. away from NH-30 (via Richahi Crossing), 17 km. away from Sitapur on Badagaon Road. Its location is 80º 68ʹ E (longitude), 27º 57ʹN (latitude). Its height is 138m (452 ft.) above sea level. The Vidyalaya was started on 3rd September, 2015 at temporary site (Vill-Dhanipur, Sitapur) the date of shifting to permanent site is 13 August, 2017.
