Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Baghra, Muzaffarnagar was inaugurated on 20.07.1988 in a temporary building in Baghra. The First Principal of the school was Mr V S Joseph. The school was shifted to its present location on 16.10.1989. Till 1992 the school had mini migration from other JNVs. Commerce stream for class X started in 1995-96.
