We are having best , advanced, well maintained two computer labs with internet facility (WI-FI CAMPUS). One of them is having very good hardware and software configurations to facilitate the needs of students of higher classes. In lab sessions we follow ‘ONE student ONE computer ‘ method under the guidance of a teacher and a lab assistant. Also we have four DIGI CLASSES – class rooms with well infrastructure for complete AUDIO VISUAL effects. These are used by our teachers for versatile Computer Assisted Teaching i.e teaching with presentation slides, photos and videos. Math lab : Mathematics is the most feared subject due to various reasons. The teachers at Hongirana are trying that the teaching of Maths must result in the ‘mathematisation’ of the children’s thinking rather than packing children’s brains with mathematical content. To facilitate ‘mathematization’, the school has developed a Math Lab which helps children to develop ability to handle abstractions, think logically and to understand and solve problems. The Math group even tries to relate/apply Mathematical concepts in daily life. Math Lab in our school is helping in building understanding the concepts based on practicality and relevance to real life and practical applications. Math Lab is helping us to develop capacity of students to understand complex concepts in practical terms.
