Library

To expand and widen the horizons of the students as well as teachers there is a well-stocked library. It forms an integral part of the school. The reading material covers exhaustive reading material - fiction and non-fiction books and a wide range of journals for both curriculum and recreational needs. The library subscribes to periodicals and leading dailies, along-with general reading and long and short range reference services. It also supplies teaching and other materials to enrich the classroom activities and teaching. This unique world of books caters to the needs and interest of children of all ages and is a valuable resource for teachers as well. Our library acts as a centre of academic and intellectual development for staff and students, and contains encyclopedias, various series of world books.. Library helps the Children to upgrade and update their knowledge It keep them Abreast of the times in a world where old knowledge is being Replaced by new ideas and ideals.

MUSIC

Music Holds the pulse of Guru Amar Dass Public School Assembly, Theme Assembly, Investiture Ceremony or the Inter School events, the music department is always alive. The school premise resounds round the clock with the choral sounds and strings of melodies accompanied by budding musicians.Music is believed to be the expression of the soul. Our music curriculum focuses on children learning basic music nodes, it enables incredible coordination and fosters close relationships. At GADPS students are introduced to both Indian and Western music, vocal as well as instrumental music

Art and Craft

As arts and crafts are an integral part of our Indian culture, Our school offers arts and crafts training to all students in various forms, such as paper cutting, “best out of waste”, tie and dye, etc. It also provides the students with a platform to explore and express their interests in the fine arts, such as drawing and painting.Art is one of the many ways children express themselves. Art is a way for children to communicate their feelings. It is through art that children develop their fine motor skills. we provide open-ended art activities that help children explore and use their creativity.

Learning Through Audio Visuals

The Audio Visual Room is equipped with a television, tape-recorder, over-head projector, computer and LCD Projector. These audio visual aids help to make teaching more effective, interesting and learning a multi-sensory process for students. Teachers use these to deliver lessons and screen educational films.

Remedial Classes

Students who have difficulties in certain subjects, we provide Remedial Classes through which basic foundation skills necessary for learning that subject in detail are taught. Our Intervention Program consists of a variety of fun classroom activities and worksheets and home assignments. Once the child has mastered the concept, he/she is returned to mainstream class. Our teachers are trained through workshops by experts to identify these children early in the academic year and to frame lesson plans suitable for them. We devote our attention to all our students equally. For slow learners, our remedial classes devote extra time tohelp them understand particular subjects better. This is done in zero period where the teachers interact on one to one basis. At the same time we have enrichment programmes for bright students to make them champions.

Transport

School buses are plying on all the routes, within and around the school vicinity for the convenience of the parents. We have a fixed pick and drop points. Parents may coordinate with the transport department and decide about the most convenient point from where the bus facility may be availed. • The transport facility is extended as a privilege and cannot be claimed as a matter of right. • School holds every right to make changes in the bus routes either by cancelling, merging, shifting or deciding a new pick up and drop point as per the situation demands with the growth and expansion of the school. Such a change will be intimated to the parents in advance. • Buses are available only on the routes fixed by the school and it does not entertain individual’s request for change of route or creating a new stop. • The school doesn’t offer the bus facility in the midst of the session until and unless there is change of residence and availability of seat on that route. • Furthermore, the transport facility once availed cannot be discontinued or withdrawn till the end of academic session. School take all – possible precautionary measures for the safety of the students, however, in case of an accident, misadventure or mishap, school will not be held responsible for any accidental injury or fatalities. • School doesn’t take the responsibility of the students availing the private and personal transport. • School holds the right to hike and revise the transport charges to meet its fuel expenses due to the inflation in the international petroleum prices. The prices may also be revised in the mid of the session.

AUDITORIUM

An architect’s delight, the auditorium equipped with the latest technology is the school’s pride. Its multipurpose usage for Assembly Functions, Parent Orientations, Lesson Enrichment and as a Lecture Room makes good utility of space for learning.

Computer Lab

Computer education is an integral part of the curriculum at Guru Amar Dass Public School . Computer lab is designed to meet the students’ Information Technology needs. Trained and experienced teachers provide both theoretical and practical lessons for students to help them navigate a rapidly changing technology driven world. The school offers computer education from Class 1 to Class 12. The highly qualified teachers impart the knowledge of computers and fully equip the students for the challenges of the computer age. A dedicated broadband Internet connection in the Lab provides Internet access to source the websites for educational materials. Computer sessions and Internet access are monitored and supervised by computer teachers who aid and guide the children through the sessions. The students are assessed on their practical skills over a regular time interval via projects and assignments given to them.

LABORATORY

The Science lab provides an open environment for students to experiment and do research work. Under the professional guidance and assistance given by our science teachers, students are also encouraged to exhibit their innovative powers by developing samples and models. Our Science lab is highly sophisticated and fully equipped to meet the curriculum requirements for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. We have separate workstations for these three subjects. The state of the art equipment for Physics allows students to perform experiments and study various principles and laws. The facilities and wide range of chemicals and apparatus allow the students a hands-on experience in learning Chemistry. There are numerous preserved biological specimens to observe and study, widening the exposure of students to the world of Biology. The teachers at the physics, chemistry and biology labs challenge them with exciting projects, giving them a strenuous time clashing with known principles and existing data. This is a place where the divine curiosity of students is at work.
