School Activities

The co curricular activities offered by the school are not only Dance and music (both western and classical- vocal and instrumental) but fine arts too. Apart from being woven into the regular time table of various classes and delivery of the prescribed requisites, these departments are also actively involved in several projects that cater to honing talents of students in multi pronged ways (viz. several prestigious competitions, Annual Function, Art and general aesthetics and Celebration of several global days). The CCE system advocates the inclusion of life skills and work experience which is catered to by including them in the time table, designing a syllabus for it and giving a platform for differently talented students to exhibit their potential.

 

Curriculum

We follow the Central Board of Secondary Education’s curriculum. We offer a wide range of subjects and co curricular activities. With international boundaries shrinking, fast growing communication technology, world economy and business process outsourcing – global acceptance of Indian economical and intellectual growth has opened a huge challenge to our educational system. We cannot limit our kids to old educational structures anymore. Recent gradations for board examinations and introduction of USA (Uniform System of Assessment) system under the guidelines of the CBSE curriculum and we are going to follow the same.

We intend to hone the inherent skills and personalities of the children and make them globally competitive without burdening their frail, innocent minds. Special remedial as well as enrichment classes are organized for students requiring further attention.

 

ART And CRAFT

The hobbies we cultivate as children enrich our lives as adults The Arts and craft are an expression of creativity and imagination. It is an outlet for individual thought, visualization exploration of inner creativity, expression of imagination and interpretation of ideas, events and environment. 

The endeavour is to infuse a sense of aesthetic appreciation in each child, an ability to enjoy and appreciate beauty. The elaborate Art Studios with the finest faculty guide the children to achieve finesse through numerous techniques and History of Art. The visual arts departments has a wide range of activities: Fine Arts | Craft Work " Clay Modelling | Sculpture | Commercial Art | Best out of Waste | Paper recycling | Aesthestic Appreciation. 

DANCE ROOM

Dance is the art of movement of the body, usually rhythmically and to music, using prescribed or improvised steps and gestures. “A dance” is any one prescribed sequence of such movements or the music to which it is performed, or an event at which it takes place.

Dance can be categorized and described in various ways. It may be analysed purely by its choreography, its repertoire of movements, or it may be classified according to its time or place of origin. A wide variety of dance forms exist around the world.

Dance education :

Today dance studies are offered through the arts and humanities programs of many higher education institutions, leading to Bachelor of Arts and higher academic degrees. A dance study curriculum may encompass a diverse range of courses and topics, including dance practice and performance, choreography, ethno choreology, dance notation, and dance therapy. DANCE is broadly conceived as physical movement organized into patterns in time and space.

MUSIC ROOM

Indian and Western Music styles are given great importance within the learning environment.

Indian music is considered to be the oldest musical tradition in the world. It can be described as having being inaugurated with the chanting of Vedic hymns. Indian music combines with the eternal culture of prayer and meditation.

Western music is vibrant and enriches the students apart from the recreation and entertainment it offers.

The students are provided with the good quality instruments, a dedicated music centre and high class teachers who help them to appreciate music in every sense.

SPORTS

The School has a very large and talented sports faculty consisting of full time PTI's and specialist coaches.

Every Goenkan is expected to take part in the sport and fitness programme. The School provides an extensive sports and physical education programme.

Facilities include two large playing fields, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, swimming pool and splash pool. Sports include Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Swimming, Table Tennis, Skating.

Trained coaches render scientifically aided training in cricket, swimming, skating etc.

These coaches are on the lookout for promising talent from a very early age, in order to provide a carefully designed short and long term training regimen to bring out the very best in each individual.

TRIPS And TOURS

Field trips expand children’s learning through active hands-on experience with the rich resources of the local community and increase student knowledge and understanding of a subject and add realism to the topic of study. The aim of such trips is to observe the subject in its natural state and possibly collect samples. All these trips are integrated with the curriculum of the respective classes to enrich and reinforce their learning.

What is the School’s curriculum?

The School curriculum is as per CBSE guidelines and caters to the holistic development of the child. There is equal stress on academics, co-curriculur activities and extra-curricular activities.

The School is located at 6th KM Stone, Jansath-Muzaffarnagar Road, Uttar Pradesh in a little more than 5 acres of lush green surrounding.

The School day begins at 7.30am to 1:30 pm in summers. The winter timings are 8.30 am to 2.30 pm.
