About Us

The Churachand Higher Secondary School is a premier boys' school in the state of Manipur with a view to impart Education for all round development of the young's mind. In the beginning, it was under the name of " Manipur Public Institute", situated at Kangabam Leikai, Imphal. The dedicated founders and teachers of the institute approach Sir Churachand Singh, K.C.S.I.,C.B.E, the then Maharaja of Manipur, pertaining to some financial aid for the institute.The royal sanction was granted to the institute.Therefore, the institute was renamed as "Churachand High School". At present, the school is full fledged Government Higher Secondary School having classes from IX  standard and affiliated to Board of Secondary Education Manipur and Council of Higher Secondary Education,Manipur.
