Co-Curricular Activities

BMD Jain School has a wide range of co-curricular activities. This co-curricular activity is related to education aspect.  We hope that all pupils will take advantage of as many activities as possible. We expect all pupils to involve themselves in at least one co-curricular activity each term.

HOUSE SYSTEM :

Students are grouped into four houses: Ruby (Red) House, Sapphire (Blue) House, Emerald (Green) House and Topaz – (Yellow) House. Each house has a Captain activity, where at the end of the academic year a overall shield is won by the best house (top scorer) for sports activities on Sports Day for other activities on Annual Day.

INTER HOUSE ACTIVITIES :

Essay writing, Elocution, Debates, Singing, Dance, Rangoli, Extempore etc., are some of the regular features conducted during I.H.A. periods. These events not provide relief from the heavy workload but also stimulate the children’s creative talents.

SCOUTS AND GUIDES :

Scout and Guide Unit was started in order to bring about formation of character & sound health habits, training in handicrafts, acquiring of useful skills and inculcate the spirit of service efficiency.

LITERARY ASSOCIATION :

It helps to improve language and communication skills of students which are a determining factor in securing a good profession.

SCIENCE ASSOCIATION :

It kindles the interest of the students and increases their scientific temper.  Students were emphasized to do research and had won state level competition in ‘A Scientist in every house’ conducted by ‘Mudiya Thalaimurai’.

ECO CLUB :

The school focuses on ‘Save the environment’. Students participate in awareness programme such as reduce, replenish and recycle, to get eco-friendly environment.

Student Services

A student council is a representative structure for students only, through which they can become involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with school management, staff and parents for the benefit of the school and its students.  It motivates to the implementation of Students ideas and interest.

HEALTH CARE :

Health care facilities are available at our school. The health care conducts regular medical check–up for students and staff. On day today we do First Aid on need basis through a tie-up with nearby hospital

COMMUNICATION SERVICES :

The school governs the students in their discipline in academic and non-academic process.  Through regular S.M.S. Parents are intimated about the school scheduled timetable, Homework, circular, Reminders, concerns etc. The school communication system to parents and student plays an excellent role.

EDUCATION TOURS / TREKKING / FIELD TRIP :

Every academic year the school plans for education tour to places of religious, historical & educational importance from classes Kindergarten to IX during I Term Vacation. Trekking, Field trips and Tours have become the part of today’s educational system, ahead of time plan is placed in the beginning of the academic to ensure good refreshment and regain dynamism.

MEDICAL SERVICES :

The School has a well equipped Infirmary Room to provide medical services to all students and staff. Full Time Doctor and a Nurse are appointed for proper first aid.

SAFETY & VIGILANCE :

Fire Extinguisher is kept in the vans and in the School Campus wherever required to ensure safety. The school is under surveillance forbetter monitoring and safety purpose.
