DANCE LAB

The purpose of Department is to provide quality education in the field of performing arts. Major focus of the department is to give theoretical and practical knowledge of Dance for our students. We worked on thrust areas within the subject in which Mudras, hand movements and foot work actively pursued. We give exposure to our students in various types of dance forms like- Bharata Natyam, Kathak, Salsa, free style and contemporary. We organize workshops, seminars and events time to time. We have Well Equipped Dance lab with two side mirrors installed to observe during practical sessions. We also have high end Music player, Mics, Musical instrument’s like Harmonium, Tabla for sangat. Department also have other supportive accessories like ghunghru, artificial jewellery and dresses

SCHOOL LIBRARY

Our school’s pride is its fully furnished computerised library. It is housed in a spacious hall with bookshelves on both sides catering to the needs of every subject, be it humanities or science or commerce. APS Kanpur has 02 Libraries(Sr. Wing & Jr. Wing) fully automated air conditioned and well –equipped with a total of more than 13,200 books. Internet facilities with National Library & National Digital Library Links are available under the supervision of Librarian and are being provided to the students.10 Newspaper, 34 Magazines and periodicals more than 1000 e-book (e-books – the rich source of information) are being provided to students to inculcate reading habit among students. It helps in enhancing their general knowledge, awareness and personality development.

MUSIC LAB

At the Music Lab of Army Public School, we provide a nurturing environment for children to engage in the finest performing arts education. Our teaching rooms are designed to provide the best teaching and learning environment. Teaching is the most important part but if you can combine great teaching with a clean, acoustically sound, inspiring, motivating, and comfortable room you get even better results.Our rooms are equipped with all the essentials which gives the opportunity for the student and instructor to have their own instrument helping create a much smoother lesson flow, this also provides the ability for both to play together when the lesson calls for such an activity. We have experienced educators and professional performers, who provide our students with the very best in technical training and performance opportunities. Educators are well trained in Carnatic music and Hindustani music. We teach students of all levels, all ages, and all styles of music.The lab has musical instrument like drums, keyboard, tabla, guitar, harmonium.
