Amrita Vidyalayams, a national network of value based schools are managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math, under the guidance of Amma. The Amrita Vidyalayams were begun with the purpose of serving the specific needs of the student community Importance Of Providing Education.Amma attaches great importance to providing education and training to children for the development of each child’s creativity, intelligence and character. She wants the children to have the finest education that helps them in their comprehensive development. Amma says, “Gaining mastery over the mind is the real education.” During these years of moulding, great care is needed, like the care a fence provides for a young sapling.
