PRE-PRIMARY: LKG AND UKG

1. Curriculum:- Though no systematically age-appropriate syllabus has been prescribed for LKG, UKG, teachers strictly adhere to the books as prescribed for these classes by the Society from time to time. 

2. Teaching Methodology:- The emphasis given on Activity-Based Learning. The pre-primary classes follow the dictum of "No Home- Work-No Books-No Note books filled Bags". All books and notebooks for classes LKG and UKG are to be kept in the School itself. The entire teaching procedure involves the following:-

(a) Class activities for each concept taught.

(b) In-house publication of display boards outlining the activities conducted.

(c) Celebrating days of national and international importance.

(d) Using variety of Educational aids for teaching.

(e) Conducting Circle Time for four days a week in which children sit in a circle with the teacher, at any place outside their classrooms, at the beginning of the day, with each child being given the opportunity to tell a story.

(f) Making monthly Activity Calendar based on the theme for the month.

(g) Making each class responsible for conducting Theme Assembly Programs.

(h) Setting up separate Word Walls in the classroom for English and Hindi words.

(i) Table manners activities once in every week.

(j) Displaying Themes of the Month Boards outside the classroom.

(k) Making Activity Folders for each student for filing the completed and corrected worksheets.

(l) Organizing one class competition and one Cooperative Game every day.

(m) Activities for developing Gross & fine motor skills in students.

(n) Conducting interactive activities with computer once in every week.

(o) Other facilities includes:-Toy time and Mini library, Traffic Park and Play equipment.

3. Observation of Teachers:- For ensuring implementation, observation of teachers in class, the HM supervise the teachers once a month using checklist given in the Education Code. He/she is to bring out the weaknesses and strengths of the teachers and endorse the same in his/her counseling register.

4. Assessment and Feedback:- The children have to be assessed twice a year. This assessment is strictly on the developmental aspects.

5. Feedback to Parents:- Our School provide feedback to parents at every stage of learning.

6. Text Books:- Only the text books prescribed by the Society are used for the pre-primary classes. 

CLASSES 1 AND ABOVE

7. Syllabus:- The school offers a course of studies that prepare the students to take the Secondary/Senior School Examination of CBSE as per the syllabus of the Board.

8. Medium of Instruction:- The medium of instruction in the school is English.

9. Home Assignments:- As a general principle, home work/assignment is avoided for classes I to V. Home work/assignment is resorted only under unavoidable circumstances and are given to the students in such a manner that it does not cause any undue stress/tension in their minds.

10. Examination:- Two periodic assessments, one half yearly and one annual for class I-VIII. PA1- July, Half Yearly Aug-Sep, PA 2- Dec- Jan, Annual Exam-March
